Someone once told me that I’d better learn to find joy in the meantimes, because we spend most of our lives in some sort of a meantime.
It’s true, you know.
Often we are so consumed with the end product–the special event, the prize, the task all finished, the result, the answer, the win–that we forget to enjoy the view along the way.
So what’s your next big thing? A wedding? graduation? retirement? vacation? Moving to a new place?
What are you waiting for? To finish school? To become a parent? A grandparent? Are you waiting for test results? For healing? For a soul mate?
What is your meantime right now? And how can you find joy in it?
My sorry night at the prom might give you a clue…and help you find some bibbidi-bobbidi-boo along the way.
