Bonus Episode: Finding Joy In The Journey Through Miscarriage — A Conversation With Rachel Phillips

    Jun 16, 2021

My guest in this bonus episode of “Joy Stealers” is Rachel Phillips.

She has a Master of Divinity degree from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Virginia, and has worked as a student minister for middle school and high school students. And even though she took a pause in that career to focus on her family, she continues to work in that ministry as a volunteer today.

She is also a talented vocalist, an engaging writer, a wife to Greg, a mom to two children, Keira and Ian, and one of the finest, funnest humans I know.

I asked her to come and tell her story of experiencing multiple miscarriages, and to share with you how she was able to find joy, even in grief and uncertainty of this unique kind of loss.

Her thoughts about needing permission to grieve and be angry, and even to question God, were so comforting, and may be just what someone you know needs to hear.

Whatever is happening in your life right now, I know you’ll be encouraged and inspired by listening to her story and her wisdom.

Make a Joy Box for Someone You Care About

Know someone who’s going through a tough time right now or want to celebrate some goodness happening in a friend’s life?

Get some ideas for making a joy box that will definitely brighten the day--and maybe even the life--of someone you care about. I’ve saved you the headspace of trying to “think up” a special gift of encouragement.
