“Getting used to different” when it comes to our relationships with other people is not always easy, and it seems these days that many of us are generally kind of bad at it.
I include myself here.
Lately I have realized that I’ve worn a path between my house and the Land of People A Whole Lot Like Me. My husband said, “Many people, as we grow older, get siloed into routines and friend groups, and we’re less likely to visit new places that invite interactions with different people.”
There’s truth in there…maybe your truth, as well as mine.
Sometimes we have to be very intentional about venturing outside our silos.
And yet–there can be much joy in developing some sort of relationship with someone who isn’t like you.
How to do this? Listen in to find out…
